United Auctions (Saturday 4 December 2021) sold 501 store cattle and 50 breeding cattle.

Bullocks sold to £1340 for an AAx from I R Morrison, 13 Eoligarry, Barra to average £703.22 and heifers sold to £1070 for a CharX from Escart Farm to average £610.46. Bullocks sold to 314.8p/kg for a LimX from A & J Anderson, Tullochcan Farm to average 235.2p and heifers sold to 305.9p for a LimX from I R Morrison, 13 Eoligarry to average 219.99p. Breeding cattle sold to £1400 for a LimX in calf heifer from K Taylor & Sons, Dall.  

This annual event attracted a large following of buyers from near and far which resulted in a buoyant trade with averages levelling out at similar values to last year.

At the show prior to the sale, Mr Tony Miller, High Gameshill judged the various classes and his awards are as follows:

United Auctions (Friday 12 November 2021) sold 1347 sheep of all classes.

Lambs sold to £111 for TexX from Stonefield Farms to average £62.31 (+£18.11).  As this was the end of season sale of lambs & sheep the entry consisted mainly of small type lambs. Nevertheless, all classes of stock sold well at levels above seller’s expectations.
